The three kinds of venue this section has most of. Each one filters the list above.
A kinderfeestje is booked once a year and researched for a week. These are the venues and hosts on AmsterdamKids that run children's parties — indoor play, farms, bowling lanes, craft studios and people who come to you. Every card links to the full listing, with the address, the age range and whatever the venue publishes about packages and prices.
Booking one, in practice
Saturday slots at the best-known venues go weeks ahead. Midweek is easier and often cheaper — the Pannenkoekenboot at NDSM keeps Wednesday afternoons outside the school holidays for children's parties.
Climbing and rope venues set a supervision ratio and expect you to bring the adults: Klimmuur Centraal asks for one grown-up per two to three children to work the ropes. Ask before you send the invitations.
Ask what the price actually covers — supervision, materials, food, clearing up — and, at anything outdoors, what the wet-weather plan is. Those two questions settle most of the difference between quotes.
Age is the real filter
Most venues publish a floor rather than a range. TunFun works from roughly one to twelve, Klimmuur Centraal from four, Mountain Network from seven, and Fun Forest's longer treetop party from eight, with a Mini Party for the younger ones.
Some venues theme the room for you — Candy Castle's Superheroes, Unicorn and disco rooms are the party table, so you bring nothing. Others give you a table and expect the decorations. It is worth asking which.
