Monti’s World Play Room

Monti's World is a small, calm playroom in De Pijp, bookable by the hour for babies and toddlers.

It is set up the Montessori way, with low shelves a child can reach on their own and a small number of toys out at a time, each with a clear purpose. A wooden farm with animals, stacking and sorting, puzzles, fine motor work, a sensory table, and a Buddha Board for water painting. Toys get rotated, so it stays interesting for families who come back.

Parents often tell us the same thing, which is that their child settles into one activity here for longer than they do at home. That is what the space is designed for. There is room for children to move at their own pace, and room for grown-ups to sit down while they do. Coffee and tea are included, along with simple snacks and fruit for the children.

Alongside the open playroom slots, we run a programme of classes and events. Music for little ones, arts and crafts classes, and workshops for parents. Most of it is small by design, so it stays calm.

We also organise small birthday parties on request. The space is set up before you arrive, so you can walk in and start.
