Where the affiliate links are

Deals and tickets. The offers on our Deals pages come from Tiqets, our ticketing partner. If you buy a ticket after clicking through, Tiqets pays us a commission.

Holiday camps. Some of the booking buttons on Holiday Camps and on individual camp listings are tracked referral links. If a camp has a referral agreement with us, we may earn a commission on a booking made through that link.

Everything else on the site — places, events, guides, blog posts and family services — carries plain links, unless the page itself says otherwise.

The price you pay does not change

An affiliate link never costs you more. You pay the same price you would pay going to the partner directly. The commission comes out of the partner’s margin, not your pocket.

It does not buy a place on the site

No business can pay to be listed, reviewed or recommended here. Listings are free, and the only paid option we offer a business is an optional boost, which is labelled as sponsored wherever it appears. What we include, what we leave out and what we say about it are editorial decisions, made the same way whether or not there is a commission attached.

We remove listings that stop being good for families, commission or no commission. If we would not send our own kids there, it does not stay on the site.

Why we do it at all

Commissions and the occasional boost are what pay for the research, the visits and the hosting. They are the reason the directory is free and has no display advertising.
