See all 17 events at Plein Theater →Plein Theater in Amsterdam Oost describes itself as a lively place for imagination and encounter — a theatre that pivots between neighbourhood and city and presents contemporary theatre, dance and music on an intimate stage of 8 by 8 metres.
Its youth programme is open to all ages, with bold children's and family performances: exciting adventures, intimate dance, puppetry, and stories from international makers. Around the theme of a show there are regular workshops and activities for those who want more than watching.
The theatre also programmes the contemporary-music series Nieuwe Noten Amsterdam, holds exhibitions, and rents out its hall.
