A new show from Gesneden Koek at Plein Theater in Amsterdam, on 29 November at 15:00. It is a humorous, absurdist theatre piece for everyone aged 6 and up.
The show is about a performance that does not want to be seen and pulls out all the stops to avoid it. Wrong costumes, for instance, or lights that suddenly cut out, or romantic music playing over what should have been a tough scene, and more besides. Underneath it is about daring to show yourself and getting past shame and fear.
Made by Jonathan Huisman and David Verschoor (concept and performance), with direction by Gilles Groot, scenography by Marit Adriaanse, music by Eric Magnée, photography by Wilbert Eerland and coaching by Anita Harrewijn.
Good to know: For everyone aged 6 and up.
