Woest is a theatre show at Theater De Krakeling in Amsterdam, for children from age 4. It is about stormy tantrums, and about the helpless feeling you can have when everything in your life changes because your parents are splitting up. The boy in the show is furious about it and takes his anger out on everyone around him. Underneath that anger is a deeper wish: in his own stubborn world he tries, playfully and with dynamic, virtuoso dance, to make everything the way it was.
You can expect the feeling described in the show itself: your heart bangs in your throat, your legs shake, your face goes red, and it bubbles up from deep inside until it has to come out. Pas op, de driftkikker is los!
After the performance, SALLY runs a dance workshop on stage. All children are welcome to join in with SALLY and show their wildest dance.
