Het Filiaal theatermakers stage The Boy Who Loved the World (De jongen die van de wereld hield). Adem is 11 and not yet born, but he is allowed on earth for a while as an advance on his life. In a fictional Eastern European city full of corruption and danger, he has to bring his future parents together because he wants a real life.
The show is a visual musical performance. Miniatures form the set, with video projections and specially composed music. Gábor Tarján composed the music and Monique Corvers directs. At Meervaart, Amsterdam, Sunday 11 October 2026, 14:00 to 15:00.
Good to know: During Kinderboekenweek, on Sunday 11 October there is a children’s book swap at the performance; bring up to two complete, good-condition children’s books, swap from 13:30 and after the show in the foyer, free to take part, and you need a ticket for the performance.
