Theatre De Krakeling is bringing the show “Van mij!” by Garage TDI to Buurtcultuurhuis De Rietwijker in Amsterdam Noord, as part of Rietwijker & Krakeling. It plays there on Sunday 25 October. De Rietwijker is at Parlevinker 9, 1034 PX Amsterdam. The show is for children from 2.5 years old.
In Van mij! we meet two figures who always want what the other one has. When they manage to play together, they tumble into a game with endless possibilities within moments. They work through the conflicts they run into with flexibility and forgiveness, just like toddlers can.
It is a playful, visual and physical performance with life-size, abstract shapes full of possibilities. It is inspired by the toddler phase, when the idea that something can be “mine” takes shape, and by the fact that the world is bigger than just that “mine”. A humorous, slightly cheeky but loving exploration of mine and yours.
Good to know: The Podiumpas cannot be used for performances in the neighbourhood programming at De Rietwijker.
