A physical, imaginative theatre show for children from age 8. It’s about feeling lonely sometimes and being together in that, about hanging between being a child and being a grown-up, and about setting your questions in motion. It also works on trusting that someone will catch you when things get too heavy.
The story begins on a bench by the school sports field. Everyone has gone home, a sports bag lies next to you, music plays in your earbuds. You stare at the sky until a portal opens in your backpack and you float upside down through the Milky Way looking for answers.
It was made at Maas theater en dans and played with much success in the 2023/2024 season, winning a Zilveren Krekel for most impressive youth theatre production and a nomination for a Jonge Zwaan for most impressive youth dance production. It is now being revived with a completely new cast of dancers, at Theater De Krakeling in Amsterdam.
