Eye Filmmuseum is showing The Gruffalo for the very youngest in the Cinemini room. A small, brave mouse comes up with a trick to keep the big, dangerous animals in the forest away. The mouse invents a big beast with spikes on its back, big teeth and a wart on its nose. The little mouse manages to make the animals afraid of this Gruffalo. Then suddenly the Gruffalo is really standing in front of him.
The film lasts 30 minutes, followed by 30 minutes of play. Children aged 2 to 6 have their first cinema visit here. Every Sunday morning the room opens specially for toddlers, preschoolers and their (grand)parents, with film and play in a light landscape. It starts at 10:30 on Sunday 1 November 2026 at Eye Filmmuseum, IJpromenade 1, Amsterdam.
Good to know: If you want a drink or something to eat afterwards, reserve online for Eye Bar Restaurant.
