what’s on for kids
The under-four programme, which in practice means classes rather than outings. Peuteractiviteiten run in weekly blocks in towns all over the Netherlands — in Amsterdam at venues such as WOW Family Center, OT301 and City Farm Osdorp: baby sensory classes with lights, music and a great deal of lying on a mat; toddler sessions that add movement and instruments; parent-and-child dance and drama mornings; and farm and play mornings for the ones who have just started walking. An adult stays for all of it. Sessions are short by design, and most will let you try one before you sign up for a block.
