Do children need experience or their own kit?

These are taster clinics and open sessions rather than club training, so they are built for children who have not done it before, and equipment — rackets, balls, safety gear — is normally provided. Bring indoor shoes, something comfortable and a water bottle. Where a session genuinely expects a particular level or a piece of kit, the organiser says so on the booking page.

Are these only during the school holidays?

A good share of them are, because that is when clubs and halls run clinics. But weekly and weekend sessions appear here year-round too.
