On Saturday 7 November 2026, NEMO Science Museum on Oosterdok 2 stays open from 19:00 to 02:00 for Museumnacht. The theme is connection: with yourself, with someone else, and with the world around you. The evening looks at the role technology plays in how we perceive, feel and connect, and what happens when you look differently at the connections you make daily. From intimate to chaotic, from analog to digital, tonight everything revolves around making contact.
Activities include Five-Minute Chemistry, a speed date at café c(rush) where you fill in match preferences, get matched, and do an experiment together in NEMO. At The Spoon Press you press your own spoon from a sheet of stainless steel and test it with a scoop of ice cream. Do Not Disturb is an installation by artist Sander Hagelaar called Lucien, where water, light and electricity come together in a constantly moving spectacle. The Line is the Game is a queue where you get a character, a task, and one superpower to disrupt the line. There is also a panel session, Decoding Dreams, about sleep and dreams with scientists from NEMO Kennislink. You can also look at yourself from a distance through a VR headset.
