Eye Filmmuseum at IJpromenade 1 in Amsterdam shows The Gruffalo’s Child, the follow-up to The Gruffalo, in its Cinemini room. The 30-minute film is followed by 30 minutes of play in a light landscape.
In the story the child leaves the warm burrow and goes into the forest looking for the Big Dangerous Mouse. Father has described the monster: fiery eyes, a long scaly tail and a moustache as stiff as wire.
Children aged 2 to 6 experience their first cinema visit in Eye’s intimate film room. The room opens every Sunday morning for toddlers, preschoolers and their parents or grandparents.
Good to know: If you want a drink or food afterwards, you can reserve online for Eye Bar Restaurant.
