Au Pair Amsterdam
IND-recognised au pair agency in Amsterdam
About
Au Pair Amsterdam arranges live-in au pairs for families in the Netherlands and is recognised by the Dutch immigration service (IND) as an official au pair sponsor. It was set up in 2010 by Li-iy van Hoorn-Lu, a mother of two who hosts an au pair herself. They handle the match, the visa and residence permit paperwork and ongoing support for both family and au pair, and they publish their full fee structure openly, including the separate costs families should budget for.

Frequently asked
What will an au pair actually cost us?
Their published agency fee for the self-match service is 850 euro for an EU au pair and 2,045 euro for a non-EU au pair, with the IND fee (423 euro in 2026) charged on top. On top of the agency fee you also budget board and lodging, 340 euro a month pocket money, au pair insurance and around 10 euro a month in call credit.
We already found an au pair ourselves. Can they still help?
Yes. Their self-match service is built for exactly that: you bring your own candidate and the agency supports you and the au pair from start to finish, including the visa and residence permit application where one is needed.
Our au pair is already in the Netherlands but wants to change families. Is that possible?
They run a separate re-match service for au pairs already living in the Netherlands who move to a new host family. It is priced as a start-up file fee plus a per-month placement cost for the remainder of the stay.
