The museum has its own families-and-children programme — including Familiewoensdag — alongside its exhibitions, the ships moored outside, a library, a cafe and a shop.
Museum and museum shop are open every day from 10:00 to 17:00, the library Monday to Friday from 10:00 to 17:00. Admission is always free for children up to and including four years old.
