Prenatal and postnatal yoga studio in De Pijp
About
Corine Leegwater’s small studio in De Pijp runs bilingual English/Dutch pregnancy yoga: prenatal classes from 14 to 42 weeks on Tuesday evenings, and therapeutic postnatal classes from six weeks after birth, ten after a caesarean, on Thursdays. The postnatal work targets pelvic floor, diastasis recti and the back pain that comes with feeding and carrying. Every studio class is livestreamed if you cannot get out of the house. She also offers private sessions at the studio or your home, a couples’ birth preparation course, and kids yoga.

Frequently asked
How pregnant do I need to be to join, and when can I come back after birth?
Prenatal classes run from 14 to 42 weeks of pregnancy. Postnatal classes start six weeks after delivery, or ten weeks after a caesarean, and stay useful through the first postnatal year and beyond if you still have complaints.
What does a class cost?
A single pregnancy yoga class is 24 euro; a ten-class card is 199 euro and is valid for three months. The same card works for both prenatal and postnatal classes, and for studio, livestream and outdoor sessions. The separate birth preparation course is 245 euro per couple.
Are the classes in English?
They are taught bilingually in English and Dutch. Classes last an hour and a half, you pre-register and pay online beforehand, and newcomers are asked to sign up a day ahead so there is time for the registration and medical intake.
