Frequently asked

When should I hire a doula?

There is no too early or too late. She has taken on clients from 11 weeks to 41 weeks, as long as she has the space and you have a good connection.

How is a doula different from a midwife?

The midwife provides medical care and may change at shift handover. The doula stays with you and your partner continuously, giving emotional and physical support and helping communication in the room.

How do you support my partner?

She gets to know your partner during pregnancy, explains the physiology of birth and the Dutch maternity system, and during labour works as a team with them, covering so they can eat or take a break.
