Osteopaat Amsterdam – Jop Mur
Registered osteopath, certified in paediatric osteopathy
About
Jop Mur runs an osteopathy practice in the Willemsparkweg medical centre in Amsterdam-Zuid and has worked in Amsterdam since 2008. Alongside general and sports osteopathy he is a certified paediatric osteopath, and parents bring babies and children for a preferred head position, restless feeding, sleeping problems, reflux, intestinal cramps, crying spells and delayed motor development. Treatment of babies uses only gentle mobilising movements, never manipulation, and he refers on to your GP if further tests are needed. No referral needed; baby slots are arranged by phone.

Frequently asked
Do I need a referral from my GP?
No. You can make an appointment with the osteopath directly, and a referral is not needed for insurance reimbursement either.
How many treatments will my child need?
On average two to five treatments, depending on the complaint; there should be improvement after three. A single treatment can also be enough.
Is it covered by insurance?
Osteopathy is usually partly covered by supplementary insurance and does not count towards your excess. Check your own policy for the exact cover.
