Kinderfysiotherapie in Amsterdam
Paediatric physiotherapy for children aged 0 to 18
About
A small paediatric physiotherapy practice in Amsterdam West run by Maggie Onofri, who has worked as a physiotherapist since 2017 and specialised in children since 2020. She treats babies, toddlers and school-age children up to 18, adapting exercise therapy to each child’s age and stage of motor development. Babies under one are almost always seen at home, and home visits are also arranged for children who struggle in unfamiliar settings. Sessions run in English, Dutch, Italian or Spanish, and the family is treated as part of the process.

Frequently asked
Do I need a referral from our GP first?
No. The practice states that you can come to a paediatric physiotherapist without a doctor's referral.
Will our insurance cover it?
The practice explains that children under 18 in the Netherlands are entitled to 18 paediatric physiotherapy treatments a year through the basic insurance, without the eigen risico applying.
Can she come to us instead of us travelling with a baby?
Yes. Babies under one year old are nearly always treated at home, and home sessions are also offered for children under two or those who find new environments hard.
