At NEMO Science Museum, the Game On exhibition shows how games open doors to new worlds and possibilities. You can design your own character and race with players worldwide. The exhibition looks at how technology has changed the way we game over the years and what role it plays in our lives. It also covers games as an art form and how they can contribute to creativity and problem-solving. There is attention to the social aspect of gaming and to scientific research.
The museum’s Werkplaats is also themed around gaming. You can see the game development process of HvA students. A workshop developed with Cinekid lets you build a game level yourself. The temporary exhibition is at NEMO Science Museum, Oosterdok 2, Amsterdam.
Good to know: Suitable for all ages and an interactive experience for gamers and non-gamers.
